It is now time for a new update for my blog. I have experienced a lot of stuff but first things first. :)
in the beginning of February we were with all the exchange students in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is the oldest city in the US and the capitol of the state of New Mexico :)
In Santa Fe we visited the capitol building which is the house of the senate and we met with the NM Governor, a state senator and a lot of Indians because the day we where in the senate was native american day in New Mexico and now because of us also Rotary youth exchange student day but that we will get to later on :D
This is the New Mexican seal inside the house of representatives where all the minor laws of NM get's approved each state has a lot of their own laws different from all the other states. When we where in there it was Native American day so there where a lot of Indians in their "costumes" and we saw some of their rituals we even heard the national anthem in native american :) we where in the senate when it was active but not allowed to take pictures when people were in there off cause.
This was a buffalo head made of scrap by an Indian lady there were a lot of figures, paintings and other work from the Native Americans in the hall ways. while we were in the senate on the floor, the senator we had spoken to presented a new bill which stated that February 3. should be Rotary Youth Exchange Student Day as a celebration for the 100 years rotary youth exchange has been and the bill was approved without any objections it was huge to stand there as an exchange student and see it happen.Everyone in front of the governor's office she is actually from El Paso hehe :D
After the trip to the state capitol we went out to get some food which was actually quite good :) and that was what happened that day of interest :)
The next we all went skiing it was a little cold and unfortunately it started snowing but we had a lot of fun a ran for a couple of hours before we headed on home :D
I really loved working out there in the nature with all of my family :) I wish one day to take my brother on this hike :) it is a great view :)
And then we had Presidents day last Monday which also where Leo's birthday we had some great food :) and it was over all a great day :)
Leo and Julian, Julian who still is sad that he is shorter than his dad so he has to stand on his toes when pictures get's taken :D haha
Leo and Liz the only girl in the family but loved by her dad :)
Me and Leo :D I am very happy to have had the chance to know this man he has been a great inspiration to me and has taught me things I would never have been dreaming of when I was younger :)
And then to finish off apparently we have a new house member this peacock have decided to basically live on our cars this is taken in our garden where we found it one morning but usually it is standing on top of the cooler of our cars a beautiful bird :)

How do you like the mountains, here, in the USA? ;-) Bigger than Sky Mtn, right? ;-) it looks like you've been busy and having fun since the Homecoming update. Yes, I forgot to check in every now and again. The peacock is gorgeous! My kids like me to make a peacock call when we go to the zoo. It is funny when they call back to me! Technically, Native Americans are just called Native Americans. They were originally called Indians beacuse Christopher Columbus thought he landed in India when he landed in the Americas. So, it stuck, although it is politically incorrect and the US government has not yet bothered to correct all of the goverment agencies' names that refer to them as Indians. So, now you have a small history lesson. I hope all is well in El Paso. Pass on a warm hug to Lorraine from Grant and me. Må du har det godt.
