A new Home, A new Family

Hey Everybody
I know it has been a while two months almost, but there has been so many things to do :) After I started on golf I have spend almost every day on the golf course I have approved a lot since I came here but I will get to that later on. March was my birthday and we had a lot of things to take care of at the end of March because I was moving to a new family on the 1st of April it has been a great time with the Marquez family 7 long months and I will miss them incredibly. But life is moving on and we have to move with it so I moved to the west side of El Paso almost a completely new culture and a long way to school :) I live now with my host brother and his parents he has an older brother who goes to MIT (a university) so he is not home it is in Boston. After I arrived here with all of my stuff which was so much I couldn't even relax because the 2nd and 3rd was our district championship in golf, I made all district which means that I am in top 10 in my district in golf and my school got first place so, we were going to Regionals in Abilene TX, two weeks after in those two weeks I spend between 4 and 5 hours on the golf course daily when it came to regionals we were not even close to make it to state we got 13 out of 16 and the winning ball was 71 68 on a course that was 71 so they were good but it was a great experience and I really loved going with my teammates, I have improved a lot on my skills in guitar as well as basketball so I am not sitting still even now after I am done with my sports I still practice basketball in the mornings and golf after school on Mondays and Wednesdays, this week we were TAKS (Texas Assessment of knowledge skills) testing which is an exam of a kind it is done by everyone in Texas and if you don't pass you can't get a diploma when you graduate I look forward to see who I did compared to the rest of the students here :) I haven't taken any pictures since my last blog so that is why there is a lack of pictures on this one but I'll be sure to take some for the next one :) We are going to the talent show at the district convention in May I look forward to see all the exchange students again :) only 5 weeks left of school one week of finals and then of to break which also means that there is only 3 months and 4 days to my departure I look forward to see my family but there are many people I will miss :)

That's it for now.

Time for the spring, time for golf

Hey
It is now time for a new update for my blog. I have experienced a lot of stuff but first things first. :)
in the beginning of February we were with all the exchange students in Santa Fe, New Mexico. It is the oldest city in the US and the capitol of the state of New Mexico :)
In Santa Fe we visited the capitol building which is the house of the senate and we met with the NM Governor, a state senator and a lot of Indians because the day we where in the senate was native american day in New Mexico and now because of us also Rotary youth exchange student day but that we will get to later on :D
This is the New Mexican seal inside the house of representatives where all the minor laws of NM get's approved each state has a lot of their own laws different from all the other states. When we where in there it was Native American day so there where a lot of Indians in their "costumes" and we saw some of their rituals we even heard the national anthem in native american :) we where in the senate when it was active but not allowed to take pictures when people were in there off cause.
This was a buffalo head made of scrap by an Indian lady there were a lot of figures, paintings and other work from the Native Americans in the hall ways. while we were in the senate on the floor, the senator we had spoken to presented a new bill which stated that February 3. should be Rotary Youth Exchange Student Day as a celebration for the 100 years rotary youth exchange has been and the bill was approved without any objections it was huge to stand there as an exchange student and see it happen.
Everyone in front of the governor's office she is actually from El Paso hehe :D

After the trip to the state capitol we went out to get some food which was actually quite good :) and that was what happened that day of interest :)

The next we all went skiing it was a little cold and unfortunately it started snowing but we had a lot of fun a ran for a couple of hours before we headed on home :D

Mountain Climbing twice in a month that is actually pretty exciting and a really good view you can get :) we went up one of the many mountains here in El Paso with a tramway and then we had to hike down it is a fun trip the first we invited all the exchange students here in El Paso the second time it was with the family :D

I really loved working out there in the nature with all of my family :) I wish one day to take my brother on this hike :) it is a great view :)
And then we had Presidents day last Monday which also where Leo's birthday we had some great food :) and it was over all a great day :)
Leo and Julian, Julian who still is sad that he is shorter than his dad so he has to stand on his toes when pictures get's taken :D haha

Leo and Liz the only girl in the family but loved by her dad :)

Me and Leo :D I am very happy to have had the chance to know this man he has been a great inspiration to me and has taught me things I would never have been dreaming of when I was younger :)
And then to finish off apparently we have a new house member this peacock have decided to basically live on our cars this is taken in our garden where we found it one morning but usually it is standing on top of the cooler of our cars a beautiful bird :)

New Year, New Day, New Schedule

HEY EVERYBODY

I hope you guys haven't missed me to much :) I now it has been some time, but there is a lot of stuff that needs to be done :) Now when I am in both Basketball and Golf I have a lot of stuff I practice I need to do so it is hard to get to the computer.

But what have I experienced since last, let's see there was Christmas :)
We celebrated Christmas on the evening on the 24th of December and we were all gathered at my aunt's house where we had our presents and some very good food. When we finished at my aunt's house we moved on to my grandma on my mom's side of the family to get the presents from that family we didn't stay there for to long but just long enough to get some food :D at last we went home and got the last presents from each other it were some really good presents :D the 25th we went in the morning to celebrate and have some good food :D a great new Christmas, but no dancing around the tree

New Years Eve was a lot different from back home, there were almost no firework and no champagne and no jumping down from chairs but we had a lot of fun with the family playing poker and getting to wish everybody a happy new year :D it was cool to see how they did it here and we went to fire of fireworks on the 1st of January so it was all good :D

Then we went skiing in Ruidoso and it was so great I just love skiing :D actually it was crazy how good the slopes where I thought - oh we are in America they don't ski over here. But I was wrong they were really good :D and I am looking forward to going again in two weeks :D
And now to one of the coolest experiences I was at the Sun Bowl it was so crazy a full Stadium to watch the football game I loved it :D we had a lot of fun :D
It was packed but fun :D a great game also exciting down to overtime :D and since my dad was working with the cameras and stuff I go to see the inside of the press box :D
Me in the press box :D

That would be all for now my friends hope you liked it :D I do not know when next time will be but have fun and don't get caught :D

Hey everyone
Everybody is starting to ask about how it is going and what I am doing and so on, and yes it has been a long time since last time I wrote something, but now I took time to write a little thing home to everyone :D
Lot's of stuff has happened since last but it's is hard to tell about everything and most of the things are just regular day life for me now but I will try to talk a little about what has happened we celebrated my little brothers birthday party by going out playing paintball which was a really cool experience :D I loved it :D and I was suppose to go hunting with my family a couple of weeks ago but since I had to go to a rotary weekend I couldn't and that sucked big time but we had a good weekend and experienced Carlsbad Caverns and Christmas lights on a river :D that was a beautiful experience football is now over and I have started playing basketball and golf the tournaments in golf is first going to be help in January and the same with the season games in basketball but we started the preseason games we finished 3rd and 2nd in our two first tournaments in basketball and we have one left in the end of December the level here is a lot higher than it is back home but it is really cool to play with these guys :D
The top of Mt. Cristo Del Ray we climbed it along with thousands of  others we had a good time with all the family afterwards

We were at a wedding with all of the family three sweet girls from Arizona :) but still it's family :D

we have one week left of school which is finals so we have a lot of testing after this we go to second semester where I will change all of my schedule so I can try something differently which is going to be a lot of fun. The rotary is still looking for a second host family for me even though I love the family I am staying with it could be fun to try somewhere else :D my extended my trip so I will be coming home in the start of August instead of the start of July so that I can participate in RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) which is a youth leadership camp for young people as me :D it is going to be a really good experience :D I have made new friends both from school and from around town and yeah also from NM I have been here for 4 months now and I have around 7 left time is flying by and I love if you should have any questions feel free to contact me :D

HOMECOMING!!!!

Hello everybody
Yesterday was homecoming and it was really great, I had so much fun but let me start from the beginning, when it is homecoming over here it is a whole week so we started out Monday and the outfit for Monday was pyjamas  so we all had to come in our PJ's I had a rope unfortunately did I forget to take a picture that day so no picture there :D but Tuesday was Western that was a cool day we had a lot of fun :D about 50 % of all the school dresses up :D
 Me, Christa and Don

Wednesday was Kings and Queens for juniors but I didn't dress up because I didn't have any costume  Thursday was dress to impress so everybody had to look nicely and Friday was spirit day, but since I am on the football team I had to dress up nicely again and we had a pep-rally that was really a cool experience it is actually impossible to describe if people havn't been to one when everybody is in the gym and together with each other cheering and stuff :D Friday was also game day we didn't win with the varsity team but I played with the JV team Thursday were I scored my first touchdown it was about 65 yards so I was really happy :D

And yesterday it was homecoming that was also an experience worth to mention I went with a girl named Kimmy she is one of the athletic trainers
This is me and Kimmy
The Boy has to buy a mum(the big thing Kimmy is holding) for the girl
and the girl a garder(the thing on my arm) for the guy

And here we are without all the stuff :D

We had a really good time we went to the dance with a group of people :D

We ended up being a little bit more but this was some of the people I went with :D

Today I have a meeting with my counselor and we are going to have a great time :D I can't wait for next weeks football game and the basketball game on Tuesday :D everything is just so great :D

The Liverpool Legends the best imitation of The Beatles in the World

Saturday we did a lot of stuff we were at a hospital painting it was so funny we painted walls and each other :D
Christian trying to paint me Michelle's idea -.-

The people downstairs painting :D

When we were done painting then we went to a corn maize it was okay not the funniest part of the trip :D and after that we went back to the hotel where we had a 4 hour long presentation ask me if it was boring the exact same things as we were told back in Denmark but then again somebody may needed to get a reminder haha :D when we where finished with the meeting we are dinner we talked about a Rotarian project called the shelter box and I am thinking about making a taekwondo show as a found raiser it would be great I just received the  address of the one of the local taekwondo clubs so now I will go and see if they can help me out it was all really great and to finish the weekend we had some time in the pool just hanging out in that weekend I made a lot of new friends and I really can't wait too see them all again :D we will meet again in December so it is gonna be great :D

Me and some of the great committee members that helped us so much :D thanks to them

School is going great homecoming is coming up still needs to find a girl to ask :D not an easy choice :D can't wait to my first varsity football game :D I love football I know I'm soon gonna start at taekwondo as well :D everything is great over here :D can't believe that a month already has passed and yet I fell like I have been here for half a year :D I love El Paso and all the people here :D
